Color me purple because I’m here to raise awareness about Lupus

This is something I wrote awhile back. It’s about strength in unity. As I think of how important today is, I feel as if this entry was always meant for today. I hope you feel the same.

************************************************************

There will be a day when pain will be no more, fear will go away, and there won’t be a reason to shed any tears.

Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but one day. As we wait, be strong not just for yourself, but for someone out there who needs it. The strength you radiate will reach far out to someone else. A domino effect will be set into motion. No longer apart, but united we stand.

Speak out and be heard. You never know who is listening, but one thing is for sure, our voice does make a difference.

Raising awareness for any cause starts with just one person.

May is National Lupus Awareness month. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that can damage any part of your body. Let’s teach each other about it and support those who live with it everyday.

Let’s put on purple and raise awareness!

For more information about lupus, you can visit the Lupus Foundation of America site.
