Monday Reflections: Growing Up is Hard to Do!

When I was younger, I always said I wanted to be a Toys “R” Us kid! I never wanted to grow up, and this remains true.

When I was six, I wanted to fly to Neverland. When I was eight, I wanted to be recruited as a Power Ranger. When I was thirteen, I wanted to go out on an adventure and receive a letter from Hogwarts.

I never figured out how to be a Ninja Turtle so I could eat pizza all day. I didn’t qualify for Camp Half-Blood. I wasn’t born a Jedi or Asgardian.

My wand is a pen. Pixie dust is just glitter. It turns out that Rock, Paper, Scissors doesn’t solve everything.

Now that I’m older, I just want to travel through space and time. I could travel back in time when Pluto was a planet and find a way to make sure it always will. I’m guessing the Doctor isn’t real so I’m not sure what to hope for anymore.

I’m guessing it is time for me to be a grown up. I don’t think I have another choice. Before I do, I’ll go for a walk and take this all in.

One hour later…

I’ve accepted I’m a grown up. My walk wasn’t bad after all.  I went to the park and saw a Wesen. It turns out I’m a Grimm! Now, I need to find Aunt Marie’s trailer. Marie? That’s my name too! I should have realized the connection sooner.

Well, the Wesen battle is brewing. I need to get trained. Root for me and always yell GRIMM!
